Neil Tardio

Neil Joseph Tardio is an American filmmaker who specializes in comedy-dialogue commercials. Throughout his career, Neil has had the opportunity to work with high profile, professional athletes and celebrities including Madonna, Sheryl Crow, The Counting Crows, Peyton Manning, Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Tom Brady and Wayne Gretzky, Patrick Kane, Connor McDavid, Odell Beckham Jr., and Rob Gronkowski.

Neil’s foray into filmmaking began at Boston University where he embraced comedy and storytelling. Combine this with Neil’s love of photography and the young filmmaker was ready to take on the world.

After a brief stint working in Europe, Neil embarked on a career in advertising as a writer and producer where he was able to work with Cliff Freeman (Cliff Freeman & Partners), Bob Scarpelli (DDB) and Stan Becker (Saatchi & Saatchi). The accounts Neil worked on won virtually every major advertising honor.

Following his career in advertising, Neil decided it was time to focus his energy on his true passion, directing. Neil’s storytelling abilities have won him numerous awards including Gold at Cannes, Clios, Effies, a London Art Directors Award and an Emmy award for a PSA for Drug-Free America. Neil’s work is featured in the permanent collection of advertising at The Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Neil has worked with ESPN, Gatorade, Ford, Porsche, AT&T, Verizon, Nike, and Southwest Airlines to name a few of his clients.

In 2018, Neil embarked on a series of short documentaries about car racing. These films cover The Bathurst 12 Hour in Australia and The 24 Hours of Le Mans in France, which garnered recognition by Porsche Motorsport. Neil continues to write and direct long and short form projects. He lives in Los Angeles.
